Panto’s End
THE END OF THE PANTO
The panto is over,
The season is done,
No more shows to do,
The end of the run.
The set has been struck,
The gear has left town,
Nothing is left,
Not even a crown.
The lights and the sound,
Have been put away,
The hall is quiet,
At the end of the play,
The costumes are empty,
the makeup been cleaned,
The audience left happy,
At the end of the fiend,
The laughter has stopped,
And the stage is still,
The goodies have triumphed,
As they always will,
The baddy's been killed,
No more to fear,
And all that is left is,
"See you next year."
