The 90’s. A time of change in the village hall. Following the closure of the shop and Post Office, one of the wings of the stage was closed off and converted into a Post Office. This meant that we now had access only to the front of the stage and Stage right. The back of the hall was extended, and we were using the loft for the technical side of the production with windows put in so that lights could be directed at the stage. The billiard room became the changing area and the new chair store became the make-up room. For one year while the conversion was going on, we had 2 caravans parked at the side for changing rooms and make up. The CCTV link was permanently installed, as were speaker and microphone leads. One production had a trap door in the stage extension, so that the cast could appear to climb up the top of the beanstalk. The following year we had a real waterfall at the back of the Dwarves cave. The highlight of that year was the ballet sequence front of tabs.
Frances Lindy was Madame Producer for a few years, with her husband David doing the sound. For most of this time, Derek Foster was lighting man. Keith Hall also came aboard to take over as Musical Director
The productions of the 90’s were as follows. Again, we are looking for programmes and photos to put onto the site.
