Productions

  We have had a few directors during our lifetime. We started with Julie O’Brien who did the first 6. Ray Wilkins directed the Cinderella in 1989, Francis Lindy  came in with Snow White and directed until Babes in the Wood in 1997 then returned in 2001 for 3 years. Bob Wells aided by Zoe Styles 1998 - 2000, Corinna Cranch 2005 - 2007. Since 2008, Julie has been back at the helm. With the unfortunate passing of Julie, the reins are now held by another long standing member of the group, Sue Warren0

  Amongst our choreographers, we have had Sandra Rolph, Stella O’Shaunessy, Corinna Cranch, ‘Sid’ Perry, Sue Tonkin and Pip Lawrence.

  In the early days, Ray Dickman wrote the scripts, while his wife, Iris, was the orchestra. When she retired, her place was taken by Keith Hall, who continued until 2003. Since then Philip Hays has performed that role.

  Another important role is that of Stage Manager.  We have had Derek Foster, Richard Hood, and for many years Ralph Thompson.

  Lighting in the early days was Fred Dorman. He was replaced by Derek Foster, and then in 2006, Roger Newman has had a major part to play in organising along with Gordon Clarke and Dee Owen.

  Sound was to begin with in the hands of Billy Rolph, Then David Lindy. Richard Hood closed of the ‘90’s and From 2000  to 2019 it was Chris Rohrer with a battery of sound effects that could be inserted with a couple of minutes notice. From 2020 Campbell Fricker is now the main man. Makeup was in the hands of Anne Hooker and Judy Evans. Of course, due to Covid there were no pantos in 20201 and 2022, but we returned 2023 with Aladdin.
